NTDA Strengthens Private Sector Ties as Ufit Fly Travels Pays Courtesy Visit

The Director General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA), Dr. Olayiwola Awakan, on Thursday received a delegation from Ufit Fly Travels, led by Mr. Alare Oriyomi Julius, Head of the company’s Abuja Branch.

Ufit Fly Travels is a licensed travel management and tour operating company offering comprehensive services, including local and international flight ticketing, worldwide hotel bookings, and the organization of both domestic and international tours. The firm also extends credit facilities for ticketing and hotel reservations to government and private sector organizations. It is IATA-certified and known for pilgrimage operations among its portfolio.
During the meeting, Mr. Alare Oriyomi Julius expressed gratitude to the Director General for existing partnerships, highlighting the fruitful collaboration between Ufit Fly and the NTDA through the National Travel Bureau (NTB). This partnership has facilitated joint efforts in curating tours and advancing tourism operations across Nigeria.

The National Travel Bureau (NTB), established by Decree 81 of 1992, serves as the commercial arm of the NTDA, handling tour services, guided excursions, travel consultancy, and related operations both within and outside the country.
In response, Dr. Awakan thanked the delegation for the visit and reaffirmed the NTDA’s unwavering commitment to partnering with the private sector. He emphasized that such collaborations are vital to the nation’s interest, supporting the broader goal of positioning tourism as a key driver of economic growth, cultural exchange, and sustainable development under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The engagement underscores the NTDA’s strategic focus on fostering public-private partnerships to unlock Nigeria’s vast tourism potential.
