At the WPRF Secretariat in Abuja, the President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Dr. Ike Neliaku, fnipr, warmly received the Director General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Authority (NTDA), Dr. Olayiwola Awakan, and his leadership team on a strategic courtesy visit.
Dr. Awakan underscored Nigeria’s immense tourism potential — from its breathtaking landscapes and vibrant cultural heritage to its diverse, authentic experiences — and called for deepened strategic partnerships to elevate the nation’s global appeal. The engagement focused on collaborative initiatives to bolster the tourism sector while crafting memorable, world-class experiences for the thousands of delegates expected from over 126 countries at the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026.
Scheduled for 15–21 November 2026 at venues including the Transcorp Hilton, the forum represents a landmark opportunity for Nigeria to showcase its soft power. As preparations intensify, the partnership between NIPR and NTDA is poised to harness public relations expertise in rebranding and promoting the country’s tourism assets to an international audience.
This collaboration signals a dynamic synergy between communication professionals and tourism authorities, positioning WPRF Abuja 2026 as more than a conference — a powerful platform for cultural diplomacy, economic revitalization, and projecting the very best of Nigeria to the world.
